loves to show we hope she will make her breeder's Donnna
Yeldell and no longer with us Jonette Jones (I hope will be
sitting ring side in spirit) proud as they watch Charm take a
spin around the ring.

Our beautiful, sweet, loving Sonoma has passed over to rainbow bridge. March 12, 2012 we woke
up that nightmarish morning to find the front door wide open.   All the wolfhounds had been
running Sonoma and Charm were back the puppies Franky and Wendy were still out. After
returning with Franky and no Wendy I noticed Sonoma was in crises. Not knowing what had
happened I rushed her to our vet. After numerous xrays it was apparent Sonoma had been hit by a
vehicle. No broken bones and nothing ruptured she was sent home to recover but watchful for any
signs of distress. March 13th 3am she was at an after hours hospital with a ruptured spleen. Again
brought home only to continue to have problems with her recovery. Blood work was sent off to
check her Liver and Kidneys. Monday the 19th Sonoma was admitted to a full time hospital under
the care of Dr. Joan Nafe at the Hillcrest Animal Hospital in Little Rock, AR for Liver and Kidney
failure. Every measure of care was exhausted to save Sonoma. She was never in any pain on no
pain medication everyday Sonoma never complained and cooperated with all the nurses and Dr.
Sadly her body just could not recover from the trauma. Before Teresa could get to the hospital to
be with her in her last moments she passed away. Sonoma's nurse sat with Sonoma's head resting
her lap as she passed quietly. This was such a tragic lose for us here. We have never lost a
wolfhound in this manner. Now paranoid we are constantly checking to ensure the front door is
locked at all times. We will miss Sonoma terribly the last of our red heads (red wheatens) she was
instrumental in helping to raise Wendy and Franky taking them under her sweet care, teaching and
playing with them. She would especially take to Wendy. Everyday going up to Wendy and giving
her kisses and always ready for a run and play. She was their roll model in many ways. Many
many tears and heart break as we try to cope with this very tragic lose.

After the tragic loss of Sonoma. Teresa wanted a brief distraction from her
overwhelming sorrows and heart ache. Accompanied by Lisa Osborne her sister
as well as Franky and Wendy. Went to Clearmore, OK shows. Bitter- sweet.
Franky took Best of Breed Saturday earning another single point. Wendy took
Reserve winners bitch Saturday. Neither Franky or Wendy did anything on
Sunday.
Teresa and Lisa dedicate Franky's win on Saturday in Loving Memory of Sonoma
and the resent loss of Twister AKA Steppin'Wolf's Dans Mon Coeur Owned by
Larry and Linda Emory. So much sadness another beautiful sweet and loving
boy. Very heartbreaking and sad week.
Love your pets unconditionally everyday you never no when it will be the last day

		Lucy runing and playing with Rufus in the backyard 05-14-2012

another puppy.   Our dear friends Scott and Nadine Kerr of the Bainbridge kennel
contacted us about a beautiful female red wheaten puppy in Germany and their
plans to bring home a male from the same litter froma breeder friend of Nadine's.
They had remembered how much we loved the Oelmuhle line and how Teresa was
going to miss not having a red head (red wheaten) After some hesitation at first. It
only took the pictures and the pedigree of this lovely puppy to say yes!   Lucy has lots
of promising qualities for now she is like Lucille Ball - Independent, energetic,
cuddling, engaging puppy!   We are so grateful to have Lucy join our family at a time
we most need her like we hope she needs us. Once again we have a red head to
share our lives with. We LOVE LUCY!
Thank you to Lucy's breeder Inge Siemoneit for producing such a nice litter of
puppies and allowing us to bring Lucy to our home. Thank you Scott and Nadine
Kerr for making this all possible!

Congratulations to Della Garrett Owner and Donna Yeldell Breeder
of Steppin'Wolf's Frosted Elfin (Dever) Litter-mate to Wendy on being
a Champion of record. The first of the Butterfly litter to become a
champion. Dever will be out as a special sometime next year (2013).
